Pleasance House Consulting - Staff
Pleasance House Consulting was deliberately chosen as a name that could act as a trading umbrella for all the "staff" (occupants) of Pleasance House. The real boss of the outfit is Dr Stella Clark who used to operate on an ad hoc, on-demand basis as a private old age psychiatrist. That practice fell into disuse as she became immersed in the higher-level management of some sundry little bits of what used to be the National Health Service. Just in case she is unable to direct the NHS and its fragments away from total failure, the old umbrella is still here for her to shelter under!
Allan Wilkie
married Dr Stella Clark in 1984 - the final task on a huge project plan that
saw the introduction of bar coding into Wm Low & Co PLC. Allan and Stella
met at work - but fortunately it was at his work and not hers! During Aberdeen
University holidays Stella performed mundane administrative tasks in the Wm Low
head office in her native Dundee. Allan's favourite introductory statement is "My
wife doesn't understand me - and she's a psychiatrist!"
