Since its formation in 2000, PHC has been involved in major retail systems projects for two clients:-
An initial “data cleansing” exercise was followed by the selection, design, construction and implementation of fully integrated Merchandise Planning and Management Information Systems.
The PHC Management Information System was implemented first, replacing the rather slow weekly distribution of the same set of standard printed Excel spreadsheet reports to everyone with:
· Daily as well as weekly area-specific reports e-mailed automatically to junior field staff every morning
· Analysis cubes e-mailed to senior field staff every day, allowing them to perform their own ad hoc analyses
· Standard daily and weekly reports published on the corporate intranet for senior management
· A suite of analysis cubes available to power users on the company network
· Very high level summary SMS reports sent automatically to directors’ mobile telephones daily
· Detailed merchandising reports printed automatically every Monday morning
Pleasance House Consulting was retained to lead a project to select and implement a new central merchandising system. This project included extensive business process re-engineering, and involved the development of many enhancements to the core package – Supply Chain from RBS (Retail Business Solutions).
