Pleasance House Consulting markets two home-grown products. The PHC Management Information System analyses data from a variety of legacy systems. PHC will provide the technical resource necessary to finalise the design, build the system and train the client's staff in its maintenance and use. This product can usually be offered on a fixed price basis. The second product is the PHC Seasonal Stock Manager. This forecasts peak season sales by week before purchasing is done and then from the start of the main selling period it monitors performance and highlights problems. PHC will work closely with the retailer's staff, fine-tuning the forecasting and monitoring mechanisms and providing training to ensure that the maximum possible benefits are obtained season after season.
PHC also markets a major product on behalf of another supplier. SQL-Retail is a comprehensive central merchandising system available from FD Systems.
PHC is also available for more general retail systems consultancy work covering every aspect of system selection and development from initial conception and statement of requirements through systems analysis and design, construction and testing, to implementation, training and support.
More recently, PHC has launched Managed Services to make the benefits of the management information system available to smaller retailers without a large capital expenditure initially.
